We wish to inform users that we will be enforcing Multi-Factor Authentication for the UPC/Manager UI use in nearby future deployment that will be separately announced. This update will not affect website users of the Planner UI in any way.
Note: UPC UI (Manager UI) is located at https://management.vividworks.com/
After deploying this feature, at the next login attempt to the UPC UI, it will be mandatory for you to setup MFA using an authenticator app like Google Authenticator, Authy or Microsoft Authenticator.
You need to have the authenticator app installed to your mobile device latest when trying to logging in.
Steps to do for logging in 1st time after the feature is deployed:
- Download an authenticator app on your phone (like Google Authenticator, Authy, or Microsoft Authenticator). You can do this at any time but latest at login time. If you already have one Authenticator apps like above, no need to download a new one
- Open UPC UI (https://management.vividworks.com/)
- Login with your username and password
- QR code is generated for you and you must scan the QR code presented to you with the authenticator app
- Type in the verification code the app presents to you when requested by UPC UI
You will not be able to pass steps 4 and 5 to logging in once the feature is deployed.
All logins after the 1st time will repeat steps 2, 3 and 5.
If you lose or break your device with the authenticator app, you will not be able to login to the UPC UI without requesting support from Vividworks as there is no self-care way to disable MFA on your own. Contact VividWorks support at support(at)vividworks(dot)com
